Abstract |
The system called Eduard inferes actions by watching for repetitive patterns. Some of the core actions under observations include: copy, delete, redirect, move, open close, format, create, and rename. The result of an observation is a loop making use of these actions. The premis of Eduard is that USERS will re-execute the recorded (and maybe generalized) behavior themselves. Therefore, the system does not need to accquire any justifications for the recorded actions since it is up to the the user to make decisions about the applicability of behavior to specific situations. Consequently, Eduard ignores information requests by the user because they would “mess up pattern construction.” Eduard features a pseudo “natual language” interface for input and output. Generalization seems to be limited to type inference and quantier relaxation (this instance -> all instances |
